The 2012 Riverland Million Paws walk was another fantastic event for both the two-legged and the four-legged entrants. Riverland weather put on it's best Autumn day - the sun was shining and there was hardly a cloud in the sky, perfect for a walk along the river. The high river levels made it feel as if you were literally walking along the edge of the river, and it was a glorious day for appreciating what we do have here in the Riverland.
The walk was followed by a series of fun relay games, the most popular being the Obstacle course, which involved a "dress-up" component for both the dogs and handlers.
The Berri Lions club provided tasty refreshments, with all funds raised from the sausage sizzle going to the RSPCA.
We had at least 100 people and 80 dogs involved in the event - thank you so much to the Riverland community for supporting the event and helping raise over $1000 to support the RSPCA.
