Companion Dog Training

Join in the fun and games at Rivapetz Training College!

We are excited to offer a six week course in 'pet dog training' using only positive reward based training methods. Classes will be based on 'clicker training', a method in which the dog quickly learns to offer new behaviours in order to gain rewards.

Good manners and social skills are an important part of everyday life and these will be taught in a fun and friendly atmoshpere, along with some basic obedience skills such as loose lead walking, sitting, standing, dropping and staying.

These classes are ideal as a continuation of our puppy preschool or for the puppy or dog that has missed out on puppy classes and would still like to be the smartest 'kid' on the block.

To add to the fun, we will also be teaching some tricks - always good for impressing family and friends, but most of all fun for you and your dog.

Classes are run on a Tuesday evening from 6.00pm, initally for a six week course, and there is also the option of continuing to come to classes on a casual basis once you have completed the initial course.

You will need to bring your dog on a lead with a fixed collar or headcollar (not a choker chain), some training treats and pooh bags. Your dog must be fully vaccinated to be able to attend the classes.
