Pet Wellness Programs

Why do our pets need Wellness Programs and Testing?

The goal of our Pet Wellness Programs are to prevent or minimise the impact of disease on your pet, resulting in improved quality of life for both your pet and your family, which will in turn help your pet to enjoy a long and healthy life as part of your family.

Our pets are unable to tell us when they are feeling unwell, and often there are no obvious external indicators of internal disease. It is important that we see your pet every six months to perform a complete physical examination and perform routine screening tests to enable us to detect underlying disease before it causes significant health issues for your pet.

Use the "age" charts below to check the real age of your pet, and our recommendations for routine health checks and health screening tests relevant to your pets age and life stage.

YOUNG ADULTS:

Wellness Health Check & Vaccination Visit

• C5 Vaccination (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus & Canine Cough)
• Proheart Injection - for heartworm prevention
• Worming Tablets
• Flea & Biting Insect Prevention
• Blood Pressure Monitoring
• Urine Specific Gravity test - for monitoring kidney function.

Wellness Health Check Visit

• Basic Health Profile - screening for anaemia, diabetes and renal disease.
• Urine Specific Gravity test - for monitoring kidney function.

ADULTS:

Wellness Health Check & Vaccination Visit
